Structural Engineering Trainee

We are seeking a dynamic Structural Engineering Trainee to join our Engineering Delivery, Structural group, providing engineering services to large and small projects. The role is responsible for the analysis and design of structures for hydropower, dam, and heavy industrial settings.

Requirements

• Work independently to apply engineering principles to perform calculations for structural analysis and design of industrial building and equipment support structures and foundations
• Work collaboratively to share the results of your work with senior members of the discipline and/or other Hatch groups
• Prepare calculation reports and engineering documents to be used by internal and external stakeholders
• Become knowledgeable of structural analytical software and tools, building codes and material design codes, discipline workflows and execution, and building and equipment structure and foundation systems
• Participate in office and site safety training and inductions as needed to support office and site activities
• Willingness and ability to travel and work in other Hatch offices or project work sites (including remote sites) as needs and opportunities arise
