Job Description
Hearst Television (HTV) is seeking a talented Local News Photographer to join their team. This role involves shooting, editing, and executing creative live shots for newscasts, with the goal of capturing the essence of current events. The photographer will work closely with the assignment desk and reporters, ensuring high journalistic standards and professionalism.
Requirements
- Shooting and editing of VOs, VO-SOTs, and packages for broadcast air and online postings
- Work with the Assignment Desk and Reporters to cover daily stories
- Shoot on assigned professional camera equipment
- Edit in Adobe Premiere and use ENG, SNG, and wireless data
- Gather video and still pictures for digital platforms
- Work with reporters and producers to ensure content is best
- Work with producers to ensure creative vision is accomplished
- Coordinate incoming video elements from crews in the field
- Work with catalog systems to save/store/locate videos
- Produce and publish content to online platforms
- Organize and prioritize
- Have and exhibit unwavering journalistic integrity and ethical standards
- Can deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive newscast production
