We are seeking a skilled and student-centered Elementary Special Education Intensive Support Teacher to lead a small, structured classroom serving students with moderate disabilities. The ideal candidate brings experience in self-contained, autism support, or life skills settings and is excited to support students in building both academic and functional skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required (Master’s degree preferred)
- Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education (K-8 or K-12) (or actively working toward certification)
- Experience in self-contained, autism support, or life skills classrooms strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to deliver small-group, highly differentiated instruction
- Experience supporting students with moderate to significant disabilities, including autism
- Experience leading or directing paraprofessionals or support staff preferred
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to create structured learning environments
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience in urban, public charter, or Title I schools is a plus
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
