Mental Health Clinician plays a critical role in supporting Jobs Plus members by providing direct clinical care coordination, crisis intervention, and therapeutic services to empower participants in achieving their career and education goals.
Requirements
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) OR an active LMSW licensure in New York State required.
- Minimum of five years of clinical experience with expertise in trauma-informed care, substance abuse treatment, and crisis intervention.
- Strong ability to build trust and establish therapeutic relationships with individuals facing high barriers to employment.
- Proficiency in a range of service modalities, including ThriveNYC’s Connections to Care model and case management strategies.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Solution-oriented, collaborative, and proactive in addressing client needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and web-based databases.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Comfortable providing services both in-person and via video conferencing.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting performance metrics.
- Highly motivated, with proven capacity to work independently, take initiative.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive), Internet research, Adobe Suite (Acrobat), database management systems, electronic case management platforms, and virtual communication tools (Zoom, Teams).
