Sheet Metal Shop Technician

Hermeus is a venture-backed defense aviation company seeking a Sheet Metal Shop Technician to support precision fabrication of complex, tight-tolerance flight hardware. The role requires setup, operation, and maintenance of advanced sheet metal cutting and forming equipment, as well as collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams to improve fabrication methods and product quality.

Requirements

• Set up, operate, and maintain sheet metal fabrication equipment
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and flat patterns
• Perform precision measurement and inspection
• Work closely with manufacturing and design engineers
• Execute basic assembly operations
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting
• Support and train operators on safe and efficient machine setup
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant workspace
