Senior Backend Engineer - Java

Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be part of an agile Software Development Team, responsible for the full lifecycle of an application using cutting-edge technologies to deliver amazing value to customers, while scaling the platform to meet worldwide market demands.

What You Will Do

Developing flowcharts, layouts, and documentation, developing unit, component, and integrated tests, programming well-designed code, testing and documenting solutions, mentoring other developers, and guiding them on tasks.

Why It Might Be a Fit

At least 5 years of professional experience with Java, previous team management experience, experience with technologies such as Scala, Kafka, Akka, and strong understanding of client-server protocols.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience with Java
• Previous team management experience
• Experience with some or all of the following technologies: Scala; Kafka; Akka; Memcached; Apache Storm; Apache Cassandra; Zookeeper; RabbitMQ
• Strong understanding of client–server protocols such as SOAP and REST
• Experience with design patterns, and encourage the use of reusability techniques
• Excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese
• Ability to guide junior team members and foster knowledge sharing
• Collaboration and adaptability within multidisciplinary teams
