Mechanical Assembler

Role Overview

As a Mechanical Assembler, you'll help build industrial equipment that customers count on to keep their operations running. You'll work on-site in Whitewater, Wisconsin, at Coperion FHN, a Hillenbrand company. We design and manufacture feeding and material handling equipment that measures and moves material used in manufacturing.

What You Will Do

Assemble mechanical parts and subassemblies by following written instructions, pictures, and basic drawings so equipment is built correctly. Use hand tools and power tools safely to put parts together according to work instructions.

Requirements

• High school diploma, General Educational Development certificate, or equivalent work experience
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, production, or hands-on mechanical work, or training that prepares you for this type of role
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, pictures, and basic drawings
• Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools, or willingness to learn
• Attention to detail and ability to assemble parts correctly by checking fit and alignment
• Ability to notice issues and speak up when something doesn’t look right
• Ability to complete basic paperwork or computer entries related to your work
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting parts with or without help
