Compounding Pharmacist (Days)

The company is looking for a Compounding Pharmacist to oversee and grow compounding capabilities, as well as act as a subject matter expert of compounded treatments.

Requirements

• Perform and accurately document compounding procedures, quality assurance/quality control checks, and dispensing of compounded preparations
• Train and evaluate compounding personnel
• Review and approve materials for use in compounding
• Oversee use of equipment to compound prescription orders and monitor the compounding environment in conjunction with the maintenance team
• Work closely with R&D teams on the development and scale-up of new compounded formulations
• Follow all safety, USP, BOP, and internal guidelines for the preparation of compounded medications
• Maintain a safety-first mindset and ensure precautions are taken in all compounding activities within the lab, including when working with hazardous chemicals in accordance with USP <795>,<800> and applicable laws
• Perform pharmacist related activities such as patient consultation and error documentation
• Coordinate with the Pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) for personnel, compliance and regulatory matters
• Willingness to complete external training as required
• Develop and evaluate standard operating procedures for the compounding lab and formulations
