Azure Infrastructure Engineer – Enterprise Technology Infrastructure

Role Overview

Join Hines as an Azure Infrastructure Engineer and design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on compute, storage, and Azure networking, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud environments that support enterprise applications and services.

What You Will Do

Design, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure solutions across compute, storage, and platform services. Build and maintain scalable, highly available, and resilient cloud environments, and ensure infrastructure designs meet defined RTO/RPO objectives and align with enterprise resiliency standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Five or more years of experience in cloud and/or infrastructure engineering roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
• Deep understanding of Azure networking concepts and architecture
• Experience designing and supporting hybrid cloud environments
• Experience designing or supporting disaster recovery and business continuity solutions in Azure
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Bicep, ARM, Terraform, or similar)
• Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other automation tools
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and principles
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and networking issues
• Experience with advanced Azure networking (ExpressRoute, hub-and-spoke, network segmentation strategies)
• Familiarity with Azure monitoring and observability tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, etc.)
• Experience implementing or supporting AI tools in IT operations
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot or similar AI platforms
• Knowledge of cost management and cloud optimization strategies
• Relevant certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Networking, etc.)
