Assistant Carpenter

Role Overview

Home Work Renovation is a boutique, high-end residential renovation company seeking a reliable and responsible Assistant Carpenter to work on a wide range of projects, including custom bathroom and kitchen renovations, full apartment renovations, and full townhouse/brownstone renovation projects.

What You Will Do

The Assistant Carpenter will work side-by-side with experienced carpenters and builders, directing other trades and managing a small team, while solving problems and avoiding construction issues.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen OR have a work authorization card
• Assistant Carpenter, capable of directing other trades and managing a small team
• Great at problem solving and avoiding typical construction issues
• Must be energetic, motivated, and punctual with a skillset in fine carpentry, high end finishes and millwork installations
• Pictures of past work required
• Must provide references
• Preferred but not required 40 hrs OSHA
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. safely without any concerns
• Must have proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in reading plans
• Must be capable of handling company communication via email, WhatsApp, and project management software
• Able to manage a project and stay on schedule
• Must own fundamental tools of the trade
