Procedure Authorization Specialist

Role Overview

The Procedure Authorization Specialist will work with physicians, patients, and co-workers to ensure timely and accurate authorizations for surgeries. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to establish good working relationships with internal and external customers.

What You Will Do

The Specialist will monitor authorizations, verify patient demographic information and insurance eligibility, complete surgical cost analysis forms, and document authorizations and progress in patient charts.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This role requires two years of experience in the healthcare field, with previous call center experience preferred. The Specialist must be able to communicate effectively and establish good working relationships with customers.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in the healthcare field
• Previous call center experience
• Minimum one year in Prior Auth and or Insurance verification
