
Job description
Monitor authorizations for surgical cases, verify patient information and insurance eligibility, and complete cost analysis forms. Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and coworkers. Participate in training and education of staff.
Accurately complete surgical cost analysis forms, verify benefits, and document authorizations. Assist surgery schedulers with STAT authorizations and ensure confidentiality of health records.
Requires strong organizational skills, customer service orientation, and computer skills. Must be able to work independently and analyze data. Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and coworkers.
