Job Description
The Houston Zoo is seeking a skilled Zookeeper III to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily care of assigned animals, maintaining clean and organized exhibits, and participating in keeper chats and tours. The Zookeeper III will also assist with departmental research projects, conservation, and AZA activities, and demonstrate good teamwork and communication skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in zoology, biology, animal husbandry or a related field
- Six years of experience in animal care at an AZA or equivalent facility
- Basic carpentry and mechanical skills
- Valid Texas driver's license
