The Aydogan lab at Columbia University is seeking a Postdoctoral Scientist to investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms that govern time control in animal development and developmental metabolism. The successful candidate will lead a research project, develop new experimental approaches, and mentor students and research assistants.
Requirements
- PhD in the life sciences
- Proven experience in independent research and strong wet lab skills
- Strong publication record with at least one first author paper
- Self-motivated mindset with persistence to explore innovative research directions
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to tackle challenges creatively
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present and discuss findings clearly
- Flexible and adaptive approach with ability to learn new techniques and share expertise
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Meticulous approach to work with high level of attention to detail
