ENGINEER ELECTRICAL 1

The Engineer Electrical 1 supports the design, development, and integration of electrical and combat systems for U.S. Navy submarines and aircraft carriers at HII's Newport News Shipbuilding division.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of electrical distribution and protection systems
• Experience or coursework in sonar systems, computer/data system integration, radio system integration, cabling, requirement management, and power distribution or generation
• Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink or similar modeling tools
• Understanding of control systems and PID control loops
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary engineering teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
