FOREMAN / SHEET METAL

The Foreman / Sheet Metal role at Newport News Shipbuilding involves supervising and training semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel to improve quality and quantity of work performed. The successful candidate will recommend training procedures and ensure employees are trained to perform practical action plans. They will also be responsible for complying with technical aspects of the job, including adherence to drawings and procedures. The Foreman / Sheet Metal will supervise qualified trades staff and monitor job and budget performance for all shifts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Apprentice Certification
• High School and 4 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience
• Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical and 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade and/or military experience
