NOC Engineer

Role Overview

The NOC Engineer is the operational backbone of our Network Operations Center, monitoring eight production sites, triaging alerts, and independently resolving P3/P4 infrastructure incidents. This is an active, 'on the tools' position where you will work alongside the NOC Lead, gaining deep exposure to a modern, GCP-hosted operational stack.

What You Will Do

Incident Response & Triage: Own the watch, monitor stacks, resolve P3/P4 issues using defined runbooks, and accurately escalate P1/P2 events to the NOC Lead within 15–30 minutes. Infrastructure Monitoring: Watch over network health across 8 sites, monitor DHCP scopes, and flag ISP circuit degradation.

Why It Might Be a Fit

3+ years in a NOC or infrastructure support role, networking fundamentals, technical stack familiarity, on-call ready, and highly desirable experience with FortiGate firewalls, OpenVPN, GCP/Cloud networking, NetBox IPAM, Proxmox virtualization, or high-density compute environments.

Requirements

• 3+ years in a NOC or infrastructure support role
• Networking Fundamentals: Solid grasp of VLANs, DHCP, DNS, HSRP, routing, switching, and firewalls
• Technical Stack: Familiarity with mainstream monitoring platforms (Zabbix, LibreNMS, PRTG) and ticketing systems (Jira)
• On-Call Ready: Comfortable taking Tier 2 overnight/weekend escalation calls from TechOps, ownership-driven, and prompt to respond
