The Drill Maintenance Technician repairs, troubleshoots, adjusts, overhauls and maintains Cote Gold's drilling fleet for safe and reliable operations. The drill fleet includes Epiroc's Autonomous Pit Vipers 231s, D65s and DM30s.
Requirements
- College diploma in heavy equipment technician or another related field.
- Certificate of Qualification in Ontario or Red-Seal Certification as heavy-duty equipment technician or other related field is considered an asset although equivalent technical experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintaining drilling equipment in the mining industry.
- Experience maintaining EPIROC drills is considered an asset, specifically Pit Viper 231s and D65s.
- Experience with autonomous drilling is an asset.
- Experience in computer applications and maintenance software.
- Exposure to equipment condition monitoring.
- Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of Ontario Mining Act and Regulations.
- Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety Programs.
