Process Engineer

Role Overview

Wieland is hiring a Process Engineer to analyze, troubleshoot, and enhance continuous flow processes and equipment. The role is located in Pine Hall, NC and will be fully on-site. The Process Engineer will be responsible for learning machine functions and process flow, becoming a subject matter expert, and optimizing Standard Operating Procedures.

What You Will Do

The Process Engineer will analyze and record process data, identify and implement workflow optimization, lead continuous improvement, and develop and deliver training on new and revised SOPs. They will also utilize problem-solving and statistical tools to resolve processing and quality issues.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with mechanical and/or production processes, quality assurance, and Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma experience. They will be flexible, people-oriented, and able to work in a team environment, with strong analytical and decision-making skills.

Requirements

• 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment with mechanical and/or production processes, quality assurance, and Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma experience
• Bachelor’s Degree required (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Materials Science Engineering preferred)
• Flexible, people-oriented and able to work in a team environment
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment – strong ability to multitask complex projects efficiently
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point required. Access, SQL, and Minitab preferred
