Database Engineer

We are architects, advisors, and solution providers for large financial institutions and governments, where data really matters and downtime is not an option. As a Database Engineer at ICU, you work on data platforms where millions of transactions pass through per day.

Requirements

• Proven experience with managing relational databases (DB2 LUW/zOS, PostgreSQL, or similar)
• Solid SQL skills
• Experience with migrations, performance tuning, backup, and (disaster) recovery in production environments
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and preferably also containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Affinity with automation and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ansible) and version management (Git)
• Works well in Agile / Scrum teams and knows what DevOps and DataOps mean in practice
• Understands the importance of secure and reliable data streams in an enterprise context
