Staff Software Development Engineer - Tools Team

ID.me is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the ID.me Tools Team to lead the evolution of custom in-house web applications. The successful candidate will champion an AI-native engineering culture, integrating LLMs (Claude) and architecting production-grade solutions on Google Vertex AI. Key responsibilities include AI orchestration, product evolution, shared infrastructure, system integrity, and mentorship.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in full-stack engineering, with a proven track record of scaling customer-facing applications
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with LLM integration (Claude/OpenAI) and building agentic workflows
• 5+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails, GoLang, and React/TypeScript
