Job description
The Senior Java Engineer will extend and support the Trading Middleware services, which are critical components of IG's real-time dealing platform. The role will involve delivering business enhancements, technical improvements, and overseeing engineering quality improvements for the wider UK Tech department.
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences. Advocate for modern engineering practices and drive technical innovation.
The role requires solid experience in Core Java / Spring Framework, familiarity with Design and Architectural patterns, and good problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in ongoing learning and a willingness to participate in support rotas.
