Design Engineer

Design Engineer responsible for product design and development using NX software, project planning and executions, and ensuring project quality as per standards. Located in Chennai, India, the role requires a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and 4-8 years of experience in connector/automotive/complex plastic/sheet metal product design and development.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering
• 4-8 years of experience in connector/automotive/complex plastic/sheet metal product design and development
• Good knowledge in product concept development/end to end product development
• Good skills in product design using NX software
• Good skills in detailed plastic component design and design calculations, tolerance stack up
• Good skills in detailed Sheetmetal component design and design calculations, tolerance stack up
• Good knowledge in materials and material selection (plastics and sheet metal)
• Good knowledge in DFM & DFA
• Understanding of DRBFM and DFMEA
• Judgement skills to evaluate concepts and design verification results
• Good knowledge in GD&T and creation of production drawings
• Good knowledge in stamping and injection molding processes
