LEAD LAB TECHNOLOGIST

This position assists the Laboratory Supervisor by monitoring the work of technical and ancillary employees, assists in test development, and regularly performs the duties of a Medical Technologist.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology
• Equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined by CLIA 88 for individuals performing high complexity testing
• Three years as Medical Technologist experience, including one year in the host laboratory, preferred
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking skills, sound judgment, and knowledge of legal aspects and liability of nursing practice
• Knowledge of Medical terminology and laboratory information system
