Job description
The Mainframe Systems Programmer provides support for ongoing projects that require the installation, testing, and implementation of new operating systems and other'system' software. Also, the Maintenance and debugging of systems software. Coordination and the IOGEN work for new MF hardware. Research and evaluation of new software and hardware products, assisting team members and other areas with technical questions and problem resolution. Monitoring and tuning of systems software.
Apply planned maintenance refreshes to supported DB2 environments, install, support, and customize licensed DB2 V13/12/11 software and related tools, perform database backups, restores, reorganizations, run stats, etc., and perform database performance and query tuning.
15+ years of experience in DB2 Data sharing and Non-data sharing subsystem Upgrade environments, proactive monitoring and maintaining production databases, and providing timely resolution to DB2 software-related problems.
