Job description
The Mainframe Systems Programmer provides support for on-going projects, installation, testing, and implementation of new operating systems and system software. Maintenance and debugging of systems software, coordination of IOGEN work for new MF hardware, research and evaluation of new software and hardware products.
Perform data management tasks, database maintenance, monitoring and managing space, identifying and troubleshooting database issues, monitoring database backups and maintenance jobs.
Knowledge of Cobol Programming, database third-party software tools, experience with troubleshooting database performance issues and query tuning concepts.
