Frontend Engineer Intern

ING is looking for a Frontend Engineer Intern to join their IT Engineering community and learn about the ING Way of Working and technology platforms. The intern will assist in implementing new components and features, participate in understanding and refining user stories, and learn about the release process and deployment of new functionalities.

Requirements

• Basic proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Interest in modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue)
• Understanding of responsive design, web standards, and basic UI/UX principles
• Interest in writing clean, maintainable code and learning unit/component testing
• Familiarity with source control and CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Azure DevOps)
• Willingness to work in a collaborative Scrum environment and actively learn from teammates
• Curiosity about frontend fundamentals such as components, state management, accessibility, and web performance
