Job Description
Insight Housing provides comprehensive housing, food, and support services to individuals experiencing homelessness in the Bay Area. The Campus Interim Housing Program offers interim housing and support services for individuals in encampments of the City of Berkeley, focusing on removing barriers to housing and promoting community stability. The Resident Advocate provides direct support, guidance, and supervision to homeless individuals in the program.
Requirements
- Follow best practices for assisting program participants.
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Prior experience with individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, or other social issues (preferred)
- Commitment to serving individuals experiencing homelessness, alcohol and drug dependency, and other mental health issues
- Knowledge of computer and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and TEAMS)
- Ability to interact professionally with diverse clients.
