Bilingual Medical Assistant, Travel Position - Thomas Office

We are seeking Bilingual Medical Assistants to join our team. The Bilingual Medical Assistant, Travel Position will be responsible for performing general medical assistant functions in support of the care and treatment of patients while providing assistance to all office personnel as needed. This is a Travel Position and will be based in the AKDHC Thomas Office but will be temporarily assigned as needed to cover for employees who are on PTO (paid time off), are ill, are on FMLA, or just for additional staff needs in the other AKDHC offices in the Thomas Office sector.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Medical Assistant or a diploma or certificate of completion of a Medical Assistant course of training from an accredited training organization
• Fluent bilingual Spanish and English capabilities are preferred for this position
• Excellent customer service and communication skills for interfacing with patients, staff and outside vendors
• 1-2 years front/back office experience preferred
• Ability to support a pleasant, positive and cooperative teamwork environment
• Successful candidate must be able to use a stethoscope, computer, scanner, printer, telephone, fax and copier
• Ability to multi-task and lift and/or move 50 pounds essential
