
Job description
The Insurance Benefit Coordinator functions as an integral member of a multidisciplinary intake team, verifying patient health benefits and coverage for infusion services, and working closely with the Intake team to process new referrals timely.
Provides timely acceptance and completion of new referrals, performs in-depth benefit verification, reviews insurance medical policy requirements, and submits requests for insurance authorization.
Requires adaptability, strong communication and customer service skills, and a background in insurance verification and authorization. Must uphold confidentiality and patient care principles and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
