Job Description
We are seeking an independent contractor Ilokano Interpreter to provide professional interpreting services in healthcare settings.
Requirements
- Fluency in both Ilokano and English
- Demonstrated experience providing accurate, complete, and clear interpretation in medical, legal, and community settings
- Ability to interpret orally between Ilokano and English in both directions
- Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
- Skilled in meeting the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders
- Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience
- Willingness to obtain required medical clearances
- Reliable phone, laptop or desktop computer, and stable high-speed internet connection
- Access to a quiet, private workspace
