Job Description
IronMountain Solutions is seeking a Structural Engineer to support an upcoming Long Range Standoff Weapon (LRSO) effort in Huntsville, AL. This role involves evaluating, maintaining, repairing, and upgrading existing aviation platforms, ensuring reliable and efficient retrofitting or upgrading structural components. The engineer will work in a full-time, 8-hour-per-day position in an office setting, with the option of remote work.
Requirements
- Evaluate structural discrepancies and non-conformances during aircraft inspection or maintenance.
- Develop and document repair solutions for primary and secondary aircraft structures.
- Perform structural substantiation, stress analysis, and material compatibility assessments.
- Provide real-time engineering support during structural assembly, fabrication, and modification.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Participate in or lead conformity inspections, audits, and certification documentation processes.
- Collaborate with DERs, DARs, and airworthiness representatives.
- Perform daily physical activity (stand, walk, sit, climb stairs).
