
Job description
The Head of Primary is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Primary School, overseeing the curriculum, staff, and students. They provide professional leadership and ensure the highest quality of education for students. The role involves promoting a positive and professional learning culture, facilitating continuity of pastoral and academic information, and supporting the Principal in the running of the whole school.
The Head of Primary will undertake teaching duties, manage admissions, develop positive relationships with students, and oversee the Primary Curriculum. They will also arrange cover for absent teachers and teaching assistants, report to parents, and maintain curriculum continuity between the Primary and Secondary Schools.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and management skills, with experience in education and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. They will be able to work effectively with staff, students, and parents, and have a passion for promoting a positive and inclusive learning culture.
