
Job description
The Learning Support Assistant will assist and support pupils with special educational, social, emotional, and behavior difficulties. They will provide 1:1 support, develop knowledge of the pupils' needs, and implement Individual Education Plans. The role requires strong English language communicative ability, a Bachelor's degree in education or a relevant field, and a minimum of 2 years' experience working with children with special educational needs.
The Learning Support Assistant will provide learning support in 1:1 situations or small group situations, develop knowledge of the pupils' needs, and implement Individual Education Plans. They will also aid access to learning experiences, organize and maintain an inclusive learning environment, and provide positive reinforcements and praise to pupils.
This role is a good fit for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs, have strong communication skills, and are able to work effectively with other adults in the school and wider community.
