ITM Power is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to oversee the installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and starting up of electrolysis plants. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of relevant experience in commissioning and/or operating process plants, strong leadership skills, and fluency in German and English.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, chemical engineering, or a comparable field of study
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in commissioning and/or operating process plants
- Experience in EPC projects in the oil and gas industry, including managing contractors and suppliers
- Comprehensive knowledge of laws and standards for commissioning and testing
- Experience in multidisciplinary commissioning
- Strong leadership skills and teamwork ability
- Ability to read and interpret R&I flowcharts (P&IDs), isometrics, and OEM data sheets and manuals
- Experience in performance testing, commissioning, and starting up process plants
- Knowledge of hydrogen processes and hydrogen safety desirable
- Experience with ATEX equipment and qualification advantageous
- Knowledge of compressed gases, compressed systems, and pressure equipment directive desirable
- Experience with MS Project or comparable tools desirable
- Professional appearance, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- High organizational skills, self-motivation, and travel readiness
- Fluent German and English skills
