ITM Power is seeking a Project Quality Engineer to support a large multi-disciplinary project for a green hydrogen process plant. The role requires a strong leadership role in quality assurance and quality control in the engineering, construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
Requirements
- Establishment, implementation, and maintenance of the project quality management system in accordance with project requirements, contractual obligations, and relevant international standards.
- Creation and maintenance of the project quality plan, ITPs, and associated QA/QC procedures tailored to an infrastructure and housing development project at a remote site.
- Leadership of quality monitoring for construction activities in the following areas: modular or pre-fabricated process plants and steel structures, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Maintenance and update of material testing records, traceability protocols, and quality documentation to support project execution and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Management of QA/QC issues in various disciplines during the construction phase, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
- Monitoring of the quality performance of suppliers and subcontractors, including document reviews, inspections, audits, FAT/SAT, and conformity assessments.
- Ensuring proper quality control for incoming goods, storage, preservation, installation, and inspection of materials.
- Coordinate quality documentation for the completion of the system, handover packages, acceptance, and operational readiness.
- Implement and manage systems for non-conformities, corrective actions, and preventive measures.
- Create regular reports on quality performance and KPIs and ensure that these meet project management requirements.
- Effective implementation and coordination of supplier evaluations and inspection activities.
- Support initiatives for continuous improvement through contributions to gained insights, process optimization, and knowledge exchange between projects.
- Conduct inspections and checks on packaging units and equipment to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and project specifications.
- Conduct detailed inspections in various project phases, including incoming goods, storage, production, and installation, to ensure traceability and adherence to quality control procedures.
- Participate in supplier and subcontractor audits as needed to verify compliance with ITM's quality management systems and customer expectations.
