
Job description
This position will support Despatch's diverse industrial oven portfolio in various ways, including sustaining engineering of current products, modifications of existing products, value engineering, new product development, design, and testing. The role will work collaboratively with other mechanical engineers, electrical and software engineers, designers, manufacturing engineers, application engineers, product management, and purchasing.
Perform testing on components and systems, selection of components to guidelines provided, light sub-assembly duties, provide information transfer from Engineering to other departments. Assignments include the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of products and equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. They will have 3D Solid Modeling experience with parts, assemblies, and drawings, advanced level (SolidWorks preferred), and hands-on experience with testing, thermocouples, anemometers, data-loggers, multi-meters, etc.
