Excavation Operator

Role Overview

J&L Construction, LLC is seeking a full-time Excavation Operator to join their team in Denton, TX. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, energetic, and a multitasker with a strong mechanical aptitude.

What You Will Do

Coordinate, maintain and operate heavy machinery, ensure safe work practices, and assist in preparing sites for construction activities.

The perfect candidate will have 3+ years of related experience operating heavy equipment, proficiency in safely operating skid steers and excavators, and knowledge of trench and excavation requirements.

Requirements

• Proficiency in safely operating skid steers and excavators
• 3+ years of related experience operating heavy equipment
• Knowledge of trench and excavation requirements for depths of 25 ft or greater
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, heavy equipment operator)
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift heavy objects, work in varying weather conditions, and stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Ability to follow work directions and effective communication with Superintendents and fellow employees
