Role Overview

Care Logistics is seeking a highly skilled and driven Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting function for a $15 million technology company. The Controller will be responsible for the monthly close, financial statements, and key accounting operations, while strengthening internal controls and driving process and improvement of systems.

What You Will Do

The Controller will own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close, prepare timely and accurate financial statements, and manage the general ledger to ensure balance sheet integrity. They will also partner with leadership on the annual budget and periodic forecasting processes, and drive continuous improvement across the close, reporting, and billing-to-cash accounting processes.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including technology revenue recognition (ASC 606) and accrual accounting
• Experience owning month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Hands-on transactional accounting experience across the full cycle
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to personally cover staff-accountant duties as needed to maintain continuity of accounting operations
• Experience with software/technology business models (e.g., subscriptions, services, implementation, or usage-based revenue) preferred
• Ability to design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and accounting policies
• Experience partnering with business leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Experience coordinating external audit and tax provider requests; capable of managing PBC schedules and deliverables
• Strong systems aptitude; experience with ERP/accounting systems and improving close/reporting processes (Workday a plus)
• Demonstrated people leadership experience, including supervision of direct reports
