Job Description
Jewish Family and Children's Services (JFCS) seeks a part-time Residential Counselor for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, specifically adults with autism. The role involves providing support to residents, helping them achieve independence in daily life, and fostering social interaction within a group setting. Requirements
- Works with residents and the Residential Manager to create Individual Program Plans (IPPs).
- Supports residents in developing schedules for independent living and daily routines.
- Promotes and teaches essential life skills like meal planning, safety, communication, and self-advocacy.
- Assists with transportation, medication management, and community integration.
- Completes daily written documentation.
