Facilities Technician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. Performs repairs, maintenance, restoration, and replacement of various components of the physical structure of the buildings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in general building repair, maintenance, basic plumbing, and electrical
- Physical capability to lift, carry and push tools, equipment and supplies weighing 50 pounds or more
- Experience using power tools and equipment and driving motorized vehicles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and operational documents
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments
- Problem-solving ability for routine situations with limited variables
