Operating Engineer

Role Overview

The Operating Engineer has wide-ranging responsibilities for the electrical and mechanical systems at the assigned buildings, including maintaining and updating current CMMS information, maintaining building systems, and executing preventive maintenance services.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include responding to online service requests, responding to emergencies, assisting with installations of new equipment, reviewing work performed by outside contractors, and maintaining a detailed inventory of parts and equipment.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have 4 years of experience in electrical, HVAC trade, including rooftop units and backup systems, and be a current Local 94 Union member or able to gain membership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Universal CFC certification
• 4 years experience in electrical, HVAC trade, including rooftop units and backup systems
• Current Local 94 Union member, or ability to gain membership
• Proficiency in a range of information technology tools and platforms
• Strong customer service orientation
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
