
Job description
The Senior Facilities Mechanical Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring facilities engineering and maintenance programs across the client portfolio sites, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), process plumbing, and other lab support infrastructure. The role interacts with all members of the facilities manager organization, including senior management, projects and operations teams, field technicians, and client representatives.
Perform facilities condition assessments of building portfolio and associated infrastructure, perform risk assessment for planned project and maintenance work, utilize data from building management system (BMS) and site assessments to determine capacity and utilization of mechanical and process systems, conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve identify fundamental design, operational, or maintenance issues, and conduct design reviews for infrastructure and tenant improvement (TI) projects.
Previous experience in the design and commissioning of HVAC systems is beneficial, and the role requires strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
