Staff Software Engineer

JLL is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to build the platform foundation for its AI-native engineering organization. The role requires experience in shipping and operating AI platform components in production, owning a backend service end-to-end, and working with diverse data stores. The position offers a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per year and benefits such as 401(k) plan, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision care, and paid parental leave.

Requirements

• Shipped and operated AI platform components in production
• Owned a backend service end-to-end
• Comfortable across multiple languages (Python, Node,.NET)
• Worked with diverse data stores: relational, NoSQL, object/blob, vector, and document
• Familiarity with agent frameworks such as the Claude Agent SDK
• Shipped AI-assisted production code
• Infrastructure fluency (Terraform, IAM, and networking)
• Clear written and verbal communication
• Pragmatic technology judgment
• Curiosity and healthy skepticism toward AI
• Comfort with ambiguity
• Systems thinking
