Staff Engineer (Platform)

Role Overview

Design and evolve scalable, maintainable, and secure platform architectures, develop backend services and distributed applications, lead platform-wide initiatives, and architect, containerize, deploy, and maintain cloud-native services.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Significant expertise in distributed systems, platform engineering, and large-scale architecture design
• Strong proficiency in typed and functional programming languages
• Deep understanding of software architecture principles
• Extensive experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Proven expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or equivalent cloud-native technologies and infrastructure platforms
• Strong knowledge of DevOps methodologies
• Experience implementing application and infrastructure security best practices
• Demonstrated success in performance optimization, scalability improvements, testing strategies, and system reliability initiatives
• Experience integrating, monitoring, and managing third-party APIs and external services
• Interest or hands-on experience with AI and machine learning technologies in production environments
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity
• Proven mentoring and leadership capabilities
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
