Design Specialist Contract

Johnson Controls is a global leader in smart, healthy, and sustainable buildings, and they are looking for a Design Specialist Contract to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing engineering bills of materials and drawings, preparing drawings of parts and assemblies, and providing technical support to and communication among the Engineering and Production teams. The role requires an associate's degree in engineering, 3D modeling experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications and 3D Solids/Parametric software. Requirements

• Associate’s degree in engineering (ME, MET, or EMET preferred)
• Willingness to work in the office daily, located in York, PA
• 3D modeling experience and ability to produce models and drawings
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint), as well as Internet software
• Strong verbal and written technical communication skill to interact within role with engineers
• Ability to work in fast-paced, schedule driven work environment; possess the agility/adaptability to quickly move from one task to another when required while maintaining accuracy
• Ability to quickly learn new concepts/technologies on typically steep learning curves
• Proficiency with Inventor or comparable 3D modeling software
• Knowledge of HVAC fundamentals is beneficial
• Experience in manufacturing
• Sheet metal design experience
