Global Category Manager

Role Overview

As a Global Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive category strategies to support the Global Procurement Direct Materials organization. You will work with Product Business Units to ensure alignment of category strategies to business requirements and objectives.

Develop detailed category strategies, mentor and lead assigned Product Business Unit Buyers, lead supplier contract negotiations, and ensure continuity of supply and active risk mitigation.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree required
• Min. 5 years of experience in a strategic sourcing role
• Project Management experience
• Extensive global sourcing experience
• Very strong negotiation skills
• Experienced in supplier relationship management
• Indirect people management skills to influence dotted lines
• Capability to interface with senior leadership across regions both internally & externally
• In depth understanding of purchasing tools and practices
• Strong MS Office skills; including advanced spreadsheet skills and ability to lead virtual meetings in Microsoft Teams
• Strong costing and analytical skills
• Working knowledge of Oracle / SAP or other equivalent ERP systems
