
Job description
Designs tools and/or machines for manufacturing company products, develops processes and methods, and supervises assembly and proofing. Responsible for production problems, equipment setup, and training. Utilizes Lean principles and 6 sigma methodology to drive process improvement.
Designs tools and machines, develops processes and methods, supervises assembly and proofing, solves production problems, sets up and trains on new equipment, writes procedures, estimates production times and staffing requirements, and develops labor standards.
Requires hands-on manufacturing engineering experience, proficiency in Windows operating environment, and knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, ergonomic principles, and classic industrial engineering principles. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
