
Job description
The incumbent performs supervisory/management tasks involved in supervising work efforts of personnel assigned to a shop or work unit. The position involves overseeing the performance of technically diverse tasks, setting employee work schedules, and evaluating employee performance. The supervisor will also contribute to the development of operations/expense budgets and control costs and resources accordingly.
Supervises the performance of work performed by employees, sets employee work schedules, explains company policy, evaluates and documents employee performance, makes recommendations on wage actions, and interviews and makes hiring recommendations.
The ideal candidate will have a base of knowledge sufficient to oversee the performance of technically diverse tasks, possess a practical knowledge of company policies, procedures, and practices, and have experience in a directly related technical working environment.
