The Senior Mechatronics Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing test systems and automation tooling, working cross-functionally with Firmware, Product Design, Chemistry, and Regulatory teams. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of hands-on experience in mechatronics, hardware/electrical engineering, or a closely related discipline, with demonstrated ability to work effectively across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in mechatronics, hardware/electrical engineering, or a closely related discipline
- Strong EE fundamentals: circuit design, analysis, schematic capture, PCB layout and review (Altium preferred, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with Rust or other systems-level programming languages
- Proficiency in Python (or equivalent) for test automation, data acquisition, and analysis scripting
- Proven experience designing and building automated test fixtures or custom electromechanical systems
- Strong systems-level thinking: able to decompose complex problems, design across the full stack, and reason clearly about failure modes and edge cases
- Currently and actively using AI tools (coding assistants, LLMs) as a core part of your daily engineering workflow
- Clear, concise communicator with strong documentation discipline; comfortable working directly with non-engineering stakeholders
